(1) Being outbid for a flat that we like (booo!)
(2) Potstickers
(3) Chrysanthemum tea in a box
(4) Tulips placed in the bottom portion of a water bottle
(5) And 1 job promotion (for Sandy!)

I was going to complain about how tough it's been to find an apartment (and still looking), but just let it be known that we are keeping all of you in mind and looking for a place that comes with a sofa bed (for when you come visit!). Instead I will ask for you to donate money :)!
Joe and I are doing the Three Peaks Challenge in May with a bunch of Googlers to raise money for Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award offers young people a personal development programme that is enjoyable, challenging and rewarding. Young people learn to help in their community, develop skills and self-confidence, improve their physical fitness and experience the challenge and teamwork of expeditions. It is voluntary, non-competitive and fosters self-discipline, enterprise and friendship.
In short, to raise money for a good cause. The website asks to donate money in GPB, but the conversion will be made automatically to dollars by your credit cards/debit cards.

In the transition stages of life, you get by with what you have. This is me inventing a cover to a frying pan so we could make potstickers in our temporary apartment - because everyone knows you have to steam those suckers :)
First, place medal cooling rack on top of frying pan. Secondly, place plastic cutting board on top of cooling rack. Third, let potstickers steam and wait for the sizzling sound. Silly, but I was quite proud of my little invention. --
Oh yes - and can't forget - Happy Birthday Winnie Mak and Amy Chen!
