Hamburg, Germany and Lake Como, Italy

Remember to sponsor Joe and I for the 3 Peaks Challenge! Thanks for the support!
http://www.justgiving.com/Google3PeaksChallenge

Just wanted to say a quick 'cheerio' before going to sleep and leave you to browse our photos from our latest adventures (I still haven't done my taxes, ugg - but got caught up in posting these up for you to see :). At this stage Joe is a bit tired of traveling and very nervous about his first marathon in Paris in about 2 weeks. I'm constantly looking for places to go. I see Iceland and Greece in my future. :)

Click on the photos to view sets from each city. I've also included details on where to eat/stay below just in case any of you plan to visit these cities any time soon.

Lake Como, Italy Recommended List

Hotel:
Il Perlo Panorama - Hotel Bed & Breakfast, via Valassina 180, 22021 Bellagio, Tel. 031 95 02 29 (Get a room with the view of Lake Como, it is breathtaking. This B&B is a bit of a drive from the main part of Bellagio, but it was nice to get away for an afternoon nap. The staff is very helpful about where to go and what to do).
Sites:
Villa Carlotta - Cadenabbia, Italy on the East side of Lake Como (Amazing Rhododendron and Azalia garden built in the 18th century that blooms in April-May which we missed this time around)
Food:
Trattoria San Giacomo - Salita Serbelloni 45, 22021 Bellagio, Tel. 031 95 03 29 (Serving good dishes from that region of Italy)
Salice Blu - via per Lecco 33, 22021 Bellagio, Tel. 031 95 05 35 (Luigi Gandola, the 22 year old prize winning chef and his 15 year old apprentice serve some amazing looking and tasting dishes that I would expect from a high class restaurant in NYC. Don't miss out on this place if you have a car. It's a short drive from Bellagio).
