SF - LA

Good to have friends that can make you laugh like this. Was lucky enough to make it back to SF just in time for Suong's Bday. Yep - After only 2 weeks in London Joe and I had to go back to San Fran for a conference to these lovely fellows and my new co-worker but friend forever -- Julie.

Joe and I were giddy about the fact that we could eat a meal for under $5 again, and did I mention In-And-Out and Baja Fresh? But the trip back to Cali on Virgin Atlantic was a test of patience and tolerance for close quarters. Brits don't understand leg room like American Airlines (or maybe because Americans are just bigger), but they do understand entertainment. A slew of movies you can play and pause at will until your head spins. First time I flew over Greenland -- spectacular.

Don't ask me what 'Beddy Byes' means (see red eye mask above). I'm still learning the lingo, and how not to sound like a hick. Funny how that is even though I'm speaking plain English. I'm sometimes embarrassed to even tell the taxi man where I'm heading because I can say it right. I just point at the print out map I have and ask how to pronounce it. Usually they are pretty nice about repeating themselves 4 times, sometimes *not*.

Foodies - Joe and I have put an end to the myth. There is good food in London. Serving a style known as Modern Eclectic, Maze is simply a--maze--ing. Has a rating of 1 Michelin Star (Nobu London has 1 Michelin Star). Something to look forward to when ya'll come visit us ;).

And just for fun...
