Time Sensitive

For my photography friends, check out this photographer who shoots from a helicopter using a tilt-shift lens: Olivo Barbieri

It's Thursday and the exhaustion has set in. Surprisingly I haven't had much jet lag since I came back from SF on Sunday (unlike Joe), but the work is catching up to me. I think Joe and I talk more about time management strategy more than where we want to pick a flat (aka apartment), or where we should have our wedding! Highly recommend Getting Things Done by David Allen. Everyone from Google engineers to my brother's Art Center friends have found it very useful.

After working to 8pm yesterday, we trudged over to Steve, Caleb, and Warren's apartment (around the corner) for some cooking adventures. A few of us attempted to hash together a recipe for chicken katsu curry and failed miserably. Good thing Lisa showed up. It was DElicious. First home cooked meal since we moved to London (25 days later). I was reminded of our lack of vegetable consumption which is not so different than NYC. Too bad my trusty multi-vitamins are packed away in storage.

And then the madness began. Did you ever try to plan your vacation time for the next 6 months with 10 other people? I think we brainstormed for about 1 hour before everyone blew a fuse. The only thing I said was 'Where is that?' (like 10 times). My lack of European geography is embarrassing. I didn't know what countries these cities were located in:

Krakow
Edinburgh
Budapest
Dubrovnik
Bratislava

Test your EU geography. And no cheating by using Google! I'll post the countries later. I think we finally chose to go to Sardinia, Italy in March -- thanks to Michelle's sleuthing skills online (one way ticket for $25). We just have to figure out how to fly from Courmayeur, Italy. Joe and I will be there for our annual work ski trip. It's the first time all of us are not flying to Tahoe to ski/snowboard at Squaw Valley. But hey! We get to the Italy!

We're heading to Paris (country: France) tomorrow. I'll be back to London Wed. Combined work and play trip. Good for us because work pays for our Eurostar ticket ($200+ for a ~2.5 hour train ride, wah!). Email us your favorite restaurants. Merci!

Time for bed. Joe went to sleep 2 hours ago because he's gonna wake up and run 14 miles tomorrow (what?!) yah, no joke. He's training for the Paris marathon on April 9th. Cheers!
