Joe came back to London for a couple weeks to tie off details with his new job. Work has been crazy (as usual) and I caught a wicked cough last week, so not much has been going on aside from unpacking Joe's stuff :). We did manage to make it out to Oxford for a day trip just yesterday (see photos above).

And yes, this means that Joe did take a job in London and we will be staying here at least for another year or two! So come visit! It's a great relief to finally have this decision behind us, as now we can start making plans for the future - starting with our first holiday of the year! We are heading to South Africa for about 2 weeks around end of March. Very excited about going on a safari and getting to snap some wildlife photos.

Well I'm off to rest and prepare for Monday. Joe just left today back to China for his last 2 week stint before he comes back to London for good.

Speaking of China -- If you are curious about the "authentic" Chinese life, check out films by Jia Zhang-Ke. Joe and I saw "Still Life" recently, his film that won the Golden Lion aware at the Venice Film Festival in 2006. It is slightly artsie, so I did have to look up a film synopsis to fully understand some of the symbolism in the film - but I really did enjoy it. ~S
