From album: Baby Rand
We hope everyone's holiday season was filled with joy and happiness. Joe and I met our first nephew Rand for the first time on New Year's Eve. He's a cutie ain't he? We tried to chip in with the parental duties just a tiny bit, and got a bit carried away creating lyrics for 'hush little baby'. Let's just say that Rand got a few things that babies shouldn't know about until much later :).
Baby Rand in NY was actually our last stop on our U.S. holiday tour. First stop was San Francisco, where our parents threw us a family wedding banquet where we got to cut the cake for the 2nd time, meet 2 new additions to the Ko family (Juliet and Robbie), and visit the Jelly Belly Factory. We also got our fill of Rock Band (go Hercules Heros!) and In and Out (yum!). Then to Los Angeles to visit Joe's parents and grandma. I know -- a lot huh? In terms of our future, Joe and are still trying to figure out where we'll be this next year. I'm going to visit Joe in Beijing next week and he'll be coming back to London on Feb 8th (yayee!!) But I've learned that having expectations when things change day to day is tough to deal with emotionally, so we've both learned to relax a little bit and go with the flow. We should be thankful that so many opportunities are available for both of our careers, and try our best to stear ourselves in a direction where we can be in the same city and be happy with our career decisions. So, to be continued in 2008! And best wishes for everyone this year as well!
